Clubs & Activities
Mesa offers some great clubs and activities designed to enhance students' learning and exposure to new ideas.
We hope that all of our Mesa Mustangs find a club or activity that is just right for them.
M&Ms
This vocal music group is for all interested 4th and 5th graders and performs three concerts each year. Parent volunteers assist in an annual musical production.
Mile Run
All grades visit the Fairview High School track to run one mile. Students set individual goals and try to exceed their personal best times.
Art Shows
Students' projects are displayed in the halls during grade-level and all-school art shows.
Outdoor Education
Fifth grade students spend three days at Camp LaForet in the Colorado Black Forest. Activities focus on regular academic curricula, outdoor education, and adventure education that includes orienteering and map reading skills.
Field Days
Every spring, students in all grades spend a half day competing in a variety of outdoor events.
Student Council
Delegates from each class work together on school issues, provide community service, and promote school spirit. Go Mesa Mustangs!
Lifelong Learning Programs
BVSD Lifelong Learning offers a way for kids to expand their knowledge without having to worry about grades or homework. After the school bell rings or during the summer, students can switch gears from core curriculum to their choice of creative, active and/or brain building options. Igniting a spark outside of the classroom can improve children’s attitude toward school and boost their self-confidence. Best of all, Lifelong Learning reinvests 100% of its profits back into BVSD.
